Confirmation
is one of the three sacraments of initiation. It confirms
a person's entry into the Church begun at baptism, and seals
them with the gift of the Holy Spirit. It then leads them
to fullness of life in the Church through the Eucharist.
Confirmation
is celebrated with children as part of the Sacramental
Process.
Sometimes Catholic
adults have been baptised and celebrated their first communion
as children, but for one reason or another have not celebrated
confirmation.
In the latter
half of each year, the Diocese of Parramatta celebrates confirmation with adults
who have found themselves in this situation and wish to
complete their sacramental initiation. If you are a parishioner
who has not celebrated their confirmation, and would like
to do so, contact our parish
office to ensure that you are included in the necessary
preparation and the list of candidates. |
