	Before a child is baptised at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the parents are required to attend a preparation session where the aspects and symbols of the baptism are discussed, as well as the importance of baptism into the Catholic community. Baptisms are celebrated on Sundays after children are presented and anointed during Sunday Mass. Parishioners may also choose to have their children baptised during Sunday Mass.
