Our Future

Pastoral Plan

Our pastoral planning vision statement:

That all families feel supported, connected and valued as they live and grow in their faith.

Through working with parishioners, our Parish Pastoral Council has now identified four key strategies that the parish will engage in to help realise this vision more fully:

  • Forming groups to support and connect young people
  • Establishing small groups formed around a commonality, providing opportunities for support, connectedness and growing in faith
  • Extending welcome to new parishioners and all who come to worship
  • Planning increased opportunities for the school to celebrate together with the parish.

The Diocese of Parramatta has two goals that will shape its life and structures over the coming five years: growing in faith and sharing our faith.

We are all invited to become part of this twofold vision, to become mature and missionary disciples. To grow and share our Catholic faith challenges each one of us to become intentional disciples, filled with the love of God and the love of our neighbour. It is a vision of a growing Church and an expanding mission, trusting in the diverse, Spirit-given gifts of our people and the graces we implore from God.

Our Parish Pastoral Council is leading a process of pastoral planning, determining how we will respond to the Diocesan Pastoral Plan, responding to the needs we can see as disicples of Jesus Christ here in Wentworthville. We seek your involvement and feedback in bringing new life to our parish community.
