As Wentworthville is a Carmelite Parish, it has been asked by the Carmelite Province to assist in supporting the new Carmelite parish of Zumalai, Timor Leste (East Timor). A part of the Australian Carmelite Province, Timor Leste is struggling to establish itself as a nation. Wentworthville has been supporting the Carmelite Mission during that time. Fundraising from Wentworthville has contributed to the establishment and continuation of a number of vital projects.
